300 People who influence, inspire, challenge, encourage, & move me.
I decided to write about 300 people, other than Jesus, who impact my life.

LISA AVELL

My Wife Lisa!

My Wife Lisa!

There really could be nobody else first on my list than my wife Lisa.  Although this quest I have to write about 300 people who impact(ed) my life is in no order, Lisa is really the only person who could go first.  Her and I are one…

Genesis 2:24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

God has blessed me with many things in my life, so many so in fact that [almost] every morning I wake up with Luke 12:48 on my mind.  However, among all the blessings God has given me – Life and Life Everlasting aside – my wife Lisa really stands out.

God has used Lisa in my life in such amazing ways that His Glory can be seen very clearly in my relationship with her.  Not only has God worked in and through Lisa to bring me five beautiful children, He has used her to inspire and challenge me like nobody else has or can.  In everything I do Lisa provides me with encouragement and support – but it is much deeper than that.  Far beyond the praise and flattery of a casual friend; Lisa holds me accountable, gives me guidance and correction, loves me through my failures, keeps me humble through my successes, and allows me to witness daily the wonderful works of God.

God uses Lisa daily as an instrument of change in my life.  This is unbelievably amazing!  To be able to witness God at work in my life daily, through the actions of the wife I have been united with in marriage…  PRAISE GOD!

…and knowing that Lisa, without a doubt, is not a prize I have won or an honor I have earned but a gift from the same Awesome God who created me and redeemed me…  This just blows my mind!

Proverbs 19:14 (emphasis added)
Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.

A gift from God.  Unearned, undeserved.  I love you Lisa.  Thank you for who you are and what you do in my life.

I could go on and on about my wife Lisa but King Lemuel (or his mother) put it better than I ever could…

LISA,
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
– Proverbs 31:29
