300 People who influence, inspire, challenge, encourage, & move me.
I decided to write about 300 people, other than Jesus, who impact my life.

This is a hard worker.

Working hard for Christ & Family.

There are many people who come to mind when I think of hard workers…  My wife Lisa really stands out and so does my friend George; two people about whom I’ve already written.

But my brother-in-law (once removed or something, he is my wife’s brother-in-law) Tim continues to inspire me and challenge me to work harder – to work as one working for God, not for man (Ephesians 6:7)At times when I feel overwhelmed with my work, I think about Tim.

Tim loves his job, but it is a demanding, overtime-filled, stress riddled, potentially dangerous, highly-respected-yet-often-despised job of service.

Romans 13:4
For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.

Over the years I have known Tim, I have heard many stories about his work; from the frustrations and pain of dealing with someone whose heart is hardened, angry, and unrepentant – to the joys of sharing the Gospel with someone who is broken and ready to receive it.  Tim’s stories are sometimes sad and sometimes humorous, but in every work-related story Tim shares, the common thread is his faith.

Tim’s hard work and faith have resulted in numerous people (in the face of persecution) hearing about our Savior, Jesus Christ…  Tim is planting seeds.  For Tim, working hard as if working for God not for man does not simply mean laboring tirelessly.  It means something much more – showing grace, forgiveness, kindness, and mercy…  Shining the light of Christ for those who may need it the most.

Acts 13:47
For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

you are a hero.
Not because of what you do,
but because of how you do it,
and, most importantly,
because of who you do it for (God).

Thank You!
