Dennis Foust – 1 Peter 2:9
300 People who influence, inspire, challenge, encourage, & move me.
I decided to write about 300 people, other than Jesus, who impact my life.
– Chris Avell
A quick glance at Dennis and you might be tempted to make a judgement based on appearances. This guy looks “bad”… But, get to know Dennis and you will learn that this is one dedicated follower of Jesus Christ.
But some of the rough look of (teddy bear) Dennis does reflect a rough past; a past that, according to his own testimony, left Dennis with much that needed forgiven.
Luke 7:41-47 (only Luke 7:47 shown)
Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
Dennis is a man who has been forgiven much. And, as Jesus taught, he loves much as a result. Praise the Lord!
I have gotten to know Dennis as a youth group leader over the past two years and his heart for the kids, especially the ‘needy’, is incredible. He has a strong desire to see nobody “left behind”, often spending extra hours and dollars picking up kids to bring to youth — and bringing then them home afterwards.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Dennis does this [extra] for the youth, Dennis does this for the King.
Dennis has not only challenged me not to judge people based on outward appearances but also to be a more dedicated follower of Christ – to make an extra effort to love more and do more for “the least of these”.
Your life is an amazing testimony to the Power and Glory of God,
His Forgiveness, His Grace, His Redemption.
Thank you for loving much!
