Free Fallin’ In Fall
Well… one last blowout for the Halloween season (nothing tonight as our perspective towns are celebrating the night of things that go bump in the night a night late ;)). We gathered at our cool weather digs for some hot dogs and other goodies (I caught some strawberry sugar wafers and fudge stripes in there). We also were blessed by Lisa’s sister and family from the big city. Always a pleasure to have Kim, Tim, and the ever growing boys come and visit. They were also joined by their new puppy who made the trip from Chicagoland.
A new addition to the layout of the gym was what appeared to be a makeshift puppet theater stage. This seemed to be the place to go when the children were running from your friendly neighborhood photographer. I also found doe little ones who just wanted a place to enjoy their food in quiet (or something like that there). Luke almost dismantled the whole thing but thankfully, only managed to dislodge one beam which he proudly carried around until he was apprehended.
After our feast was completed, the make up, face pain (or was it face paint?), glitter, and other scary things came out. Those brave enough sat at a station and let creative hands make their faces over. I will post pictures of some of the finished products.
After the makeovers were completed, another scramble for candy was had. I think we had more sweets scattered all over the floor than a week or so ago much to the delight of the scavengers.
We had another special event this week but I will save that for another post because this one took some planning from your Disciple Day blogger and some elves.
